Gawking, Gaping, Staring
No, it's not a lost Buddy Holly song, it's a heavy GLBT essay. It's the kind of essay that, upon reaching the end, all one can do is sit back and quietly say, "Jeez."

Wow, I can't imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger tracking down my gay-themed X-rated 1970's vidos.

Hello.
This is tranScribd, a blog where I plan to showcase interesting content found on Scribd, as well as various user-submitted hacks and tips. Scribd is a new web site that features tools for archiving, sharing, and publishing documents in a number of formats. It's still early in the game, but Scribd seems to have hit the ineffable Web 2.0 stride, a congenial and free-wheeling community is well under way.
Scribd is creating a sweet spot that lies somewhere between the informality of the blog and more formal publication. It's now possible to create, write, and design your own coffee table book, and publish it yourself, for free. How awesome is that?
There are some interesting times ahead. There's some pretty rampant copyright violation going on, and the methods that Scribd comes up with to deal with complaints will determine whether Scribd is (all together now) a YouTube for Documents or if it too will have its Pandora moment.
